Most of the time I try to eat healthy, but occasionally I give in to my desires for something deliciously fried. I read about these battered french fries and they seemed like a perfect treat.
The process for making the fries is simple, though having a mandoline definitely helps in making consistently shaped fries. I did the frying in one of my small cast iron pans. As the recipe mentions, it is important to only add one fry at a time, otherwise the batter causes them to stick together.
The fries were excellent and held up well even after they cooled down, though most of them didn't last that long.
